Mark Biernacki shares an update on Canadian Trademark Reform at San Francisco INTA Roundtable
April 3, 2019

Mark Biernacki Partner, Mark Biernacki will visit San Francisco on Wednesday, April 3rd to participate in the INTA Roundtable Series on Canadian Trademark Reform, in a lunch seminar hosted by Gilead Sciences.

On June 17, 2019, Canada joins the Madrid Protocol system and accedes to the Nice Agreement and the Singapore Treaty. These long-anticipated changes will not only modernize Canada’s trademark regime for the years to come, they will also remove use as a registration requirement, dispensing with the filing of declarations of use for current and future applications. Mark will discuss what’s changing in Canadian law and how to take advantage of those changes.
