On Friday, December 2nd, 2016, Ekaterina Tsimberis spoke to an audience hosted by the Centre de Recherche en Droit Public at the University of Montreal at their conference ‘A new international reality for brands in Canada’.
Her talk, given in French, was entitled 'Indications géographiques et autres indicateurs, d’origine et de source' (Geographical Indications and other indicators, of origin and of source) provided an overview of Geographical Indications as well as other indicators of origin/source in Canada, the impacts that International trade agreements can have on same, and the IP issues related to Geographical Indications that companies should be aware of.
She also co-hosted a discussion panel on the impact of International Trade Agreements together with two other presenters from the conference.
