Tierney GB Deluzio is an articling student in our Toronto office, and has recently completed her Juris Doctor at the University of Western Ontario.

During her legal studies, Tierney was awarded the Criminal Lawyers’ Association Prize in criminal law, the Bereskin and Parr Award in Industrial and Intellectual Property and the WeirFoulds LLP Writing Prize for a paper titled, “Regulating Tissue Engineering in Canada.” She participated as a researcher in the Harold G. Fox Intellectual Property Moot. Tierney also volunteered with the intellectual property section of the Community Legal Services, an organization which provides pro bono advice and representation to members of the London, Ontario community.

Tierney was also a research assistant to Professor Margaret Ann Wilkinson, Professor of Law and Director, Intellectual Property, Information and Technology. During her term, she co-authored two papers, “Copyright in Photographs in Canada Since 2012” and “The Term of Copyright Protection in Photographs.”
