Nora Labbancz is an articling student in our Ottawa office, and has recently completed her Juris Doctor at Queen’s University.

During her legal studies, Nora participated in an academic exchange at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands.

Nora graduated summa cum laude from McMaster University with a degree in Honours Chemistry. During her undergraduate studies she received two awards from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada: an Undergraduate Student Research Award to pursue research in glacial sedimentology and the Collaborative Research and Training Experience Scholarship to pursue research in organic photochemistry. She was also awarded the Reactive Intermediates Student Exchange Scholarship, the Ernest Robert Mackenzie Kay Scholarship and the John and Helen Maxwell Scholarship. Additionally, Nora received the Hypercube Scholar Award for best thesis presentation in the Department of Chemistry for her thesis entitled, “Preparation of Silicone Elastomers via Boron-catalyzed Crosslinking.”
