Neil Clark has over 20 years of experience with providing timely and cost-effective advice on patents and industrial design protection relating to the mechanical field. He currently focusses his attention on the prosecution of applications in these areas before the Canadian Intellectual Property Office on behalf of both domestic and foreign clients. However, he also has extensive experience with managing the filing and prosecution of patent and industrial design applications in the United States, Europe and around the world. As a routine part of his practice, Neil regularly conducts patentability searches, drafts and prosecutes patent and industrial design applications, and provides infringement and validity opinions. He also prepares and files Patent Cooperation Treaty applications.

He has in-depth experience with patents covering waste water treatment equipment and systems, and control and measurement systems for the production of sheet paper in the paper making industry.  He also has experience with patents in respect of agricultural equipment for planting and fertilizing seeds, and processing of harvested materials including freezing via a fluidization method.

Neil's work has involved clients ranging from individual inventors and small start-ups to large, established corporations. He also regularly advises foreign associates on Canadian prosecution issues.
