Mark has extensive experience at every stage of patent prosecution and an exceptional understanding of advancements in the fields of electrical engineering, electronics, software and telecommunications.
Mark’s broad-reaching, international patent prosecution expertise includes meeting with clients and inventors to discuss patentability; drafting patent applications; prosecuting applications in Canada; and managing the filing and prosecution of patent applications in the United States, Europe and other jurisdictions. He’s often called on to advise foreign associates with their Canadian patent prosecution needs.
His clients are primarily innovative, dynamic telecommunications companies, semiconductor manufacturers, and software companies including operating systems developers and gaming console manufacturers.
An accomplished electrical engineer, Mark brings strong knowledge of product development, testing and production, specifically in fibre optic telecommunications. Previously a Product Development Engineer at a technology company, he also has understanding of reliability and failure analysis concepts.
