Christina Pan is a summer law student in our Ottawa office. She is currently working toward her Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa, where she was awarded the Edward and Olga Backhouse Entrance Scholarship.

Christina completed her M.Sc. and B.Sc. in Pharmacology at the University of Toronto, where she graduated with High Distinction.

During her graduate studies, Christina’s thesis project titled, “Residual Effects of Cannabis on Young Drivers’ Performance of Driving-Related Skills,” focused on the acute and residual effects of cannabis on driving performance in young drivers. The study was the largest clinical trial – and the first of its kind in Canada – conducted on cannabis and driving.

Prior to starting her legal studies, Christina worked as a clinical research intern at Sanofi Inc., assisting with the monitoring of clinical trial activities in various hospitals and clinics across Eastern Canada. She also worked as a clinical research assistant for Dr. Paul O’Connor at the St. Michael’s Hospital Multiple Sclerosis Clinic, where she helped to conduct clinical trials on the long term efficacy and safety of teriflunomide.
