Isabelle St-Hilaire is an articling student in Smart & Biggar’s Ottawa office. She completed her Juris Doctor at the University of Ottawa.

During her undergraduate studies, Isabelle was the recipient of a number awards including the NSERC Undergraduate Student Research Award, the University Gold Medal for highest standing in the joint honours bachelor with major and multidisciplinary programs of the Faculty of Science, and the Governor General’s Silver Medal for highest standing in Undergraduate Programs.

Isabelle’s experience extends beyond legal studies into medical research having spent time as a summer student in a chemistry lab and in an environmental toxicology lab. Isabelle also worked at the Ottawa General Hospital as an honours student in Dr. Bell’s virology and oncoimmunology lab. During law school, she took several intellectual property courses and received the Gold Medal and the Georges-W.-Ainslie Memorial Prize for the highest standing in the JD program at the Faculty of Law, Common Law Section.
