Brian Kingwell is a member of the firms' Executive Committee. His practice has focused on patent prosecution and strategic patent portfolio counselling in the areas of molecular biology, biochemistry, chemistry, chemical engineering and medical devices for over 15 years. He has wide-ranging experience in obtaining patents for products such as a novel family of heterocyclic antibiotics, modified forms of the two-hybrid screening assay, processes for the preparation of bioprosthetic tissues, in situ combustion processes for recovery of hydrocarbons and heavy metal waste remediation processes. Mr. Kingwell is also the inventor of a patented medical device that has been marketed internationally.
