Andrea Kroetch's practice focusses on trademark counselling, prosecution and litigation covering all aspects of the trademark life cycle, including clearance, trademark prosecution, opposition and enforcement. Andrea also has significant experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements pertaining to intellectual property, with a particular emphasis on licensing, commercialization and procurement.
In addition, Andrea’s practice includes issues relating to marketing and advertising law and Canadian privacy law, including packaging and labelling regulations and review, print and broadcasting advertising review, contest and point of sale promotions, coupon and premium promotions and trade, competitor and misleading advertising complaints.
Andrea works with brand owners operating within a broad range of industries, including fashion, restaurants and food and beverage producers, consumer goods manufacturing and pharmaceutical companies to build and protect their brands and reputations.
During her undergraduate, graduate and legal studies, Andrea received several awards and scholarships, including entrance into the Dean's Course on Legal Research and Writing, the 2012 Osgoode Society Prize for Canadian Legal History (awarded to the top 15 graduating students in each of Ontario's law schools) and the 2007-2008 Gowling Lafleur Henderson LLP Faculty of Law Entrance Scholarship.
