Biography
Mark Biernacki is partner in our Toronto office. Mr. Biernacki devotes most of his practice to litigation in all aspects of intellectual property law including patent, trade-mark, industrial design and copyright matters. He has successfully represented both plaintiffs and defendants before the Federal Court of Canada, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and at the appellate level. He has also successfully negotiated numerous settlements before and during litigation.
Mr. Biernacki has considerable experience in the acquisition, clearance, prosecution, enforcement and licensing of trade-marks. He had a paper concerning the use of trade-mark surveys published in the Canadian Journal of Marketing Research, and has worked with several survey experts in both designing and challenging surveys in trade-mark litigation.
Mr. Biernacki is Chair of the Student Committee in our Toronto office.
