Biography
Jeffrey Coles is an associate in our Ottawa office where his practice focuses on patent prosecution in matters relating to biotechnology, molecular biology and biochemistry, as well as patent litigation in all areas of intellectual property with a focus on pharmaceutical litigation.
During Mr. Coles' undergraduate studies, he worked as a research assistant for the Department of Defence Canada, Chemical Biological Defence Section. After completing his undergraduate degree, he commenced his post-graduate studies at the Cross Cancer Institute (University of Alberta). Mr. Coles' research has been published in the Journal of Biochemistry, Viral Immunology and Neoplasia. He has also been the recipient of numerous scholarships during both his scientific and legal studies.
