Biography
Émilie Dubreuil is an associate in our Montreal office where her practice focuses primarily on patent and trademark litigation. Ms. Dubreuil has experience with extraordinary recourses such as interim or interlocutory injunctions, seizures before judgment as well as with anti-counterfeiting and anti-piracy matters. She has experience in proceedings before the Quebec Superior Court and Court of Appeal, as well as the Federal Courts of Canada.
Ms. Dubreuil's practice also extends to the preparation and prosecution of trade-mark applications, the preparation of trade-mark registrability, availability and infringement opinions, and the drafting of various types of agreements involving intellectual property assets. Ms. Dubreuil provides assistance to her clients in complex trademark opposition proceedings as well as section 45 proceedings (proving use/non-use of a registered trade-mark) before the Canadian Intellectual Property Office and the Federal Court.
